A day at the National Museum of Singapore (Part 1 of 2)
Continued from: Dim Sum treats!
Thanks to BLOG2u *again* and National Heritage Board for the complimentary ticket for all the galleries in the National Museum of Singapore.
Munkey and I had covered Singapore Living Galleries - Film & Wayang, Food, Photography & Fashion previously during the museum’s open house. Hence, we only covered Singapore History Gallery and other featured exhibits this time.

A complimentary ticket to all the galleries, cool uh?

This is a multimedia handheld device. Press the buttons corresponding to the number displayed on the floor or exhibit, and you can listen to the explanations of the displays instead of reading from the board.

Some old time text books still in good condition.

I like this shot alot. The lighting has successfully created two shadows at the back.

Guess what the words are?

I found the museum is definitely more than artefacts and exhibitions. I some how like their arty displays of culture and heritage.

I like the road signs display, kind of arty.

The lighting in the museum is good as well.

I found the Chinese translation are all particularly good, like this one: 暴力暗杀的急流暗涌(毕麒麟险些丧命斧下)and in English, it is: Attack (An attempt on Pickering’s life). Chinese translation is more “colourful” than the English one.
More photos of the featured exhibits will be shown in the next post. Stay tune.
