七年级以后的人，大概都没有听过这首歌吧！ 七年级以前的人，也许听过这个旋律，但唱的是中文歌词，歌名叫做「静心等」。 前几天在翻家里的CD的时候，在一片英文老歌精选集里找到这首歌。 主唱者是The Platters乐团中的男低音Herbert Reed，Herbert的嗓音很特殊，不只是低沉，而是在低沉中似乎还带有共鸣。现在似乎很难找到像这样的歌手了。 Sixteen Tons记录了早年美国煤矿工人的悲惨生活。从歌词看来，他们的处境或许跟去年李奥纳多演的「血钻石」里的南非钻石矿工人差不多。
