又是毕业典礼的季节了…

每个学校在这个时后, 总会请个特别来宾来给毕业生们讲些话

(所谓的"毕业演说" commencement address).

去年在毕业典礼上听到了演说者给毕业生的一些words of wisdom.

赶紧找了张餐巾纸把它记录下来…

Take time to work… It is the price of success;

(花时间认真任务…它是成功的代价)

Take time to think… It is the source of power;

(花时间去想…它是力量的源)

Take time to read… It is the foundation of wisdom;

(花时间去阅读…它是智慧的根基)

Take time to be friendly… It is the road to happiness;

(花时间对人友善…它是通往快乐的路径)

Take time to love and to be loved… It is the privilege of the gods;

(花时间去爱与被爱…它是神给予的特权)

Take time to share… Life is too short to be selfish;

(花时间分享… 生命太短了, 没有自私的余地)

Take time to laugh… Laughter is the music of the soul.

(花时间笑…它是灵魂的乐音)

说到"毕业演说,”  忍不住提起 Steve Jobs 2005 年在斯坦福大学的演说.  Steve Jobs 是Apple 计算机公司的创办人之一(Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak).  现在他是Apple Computer and Pixar Animation (who did animation for the movie "Toy Story") 的CEO.

他在演说中讲了他个人的三个小故事: 1. about connecting the dots, 2. about love and loss, and 3. about death (关于death 的小故事, 尤其 inspiring). 

Steve Jobs 只读了两年的大学 (只交了一个学期的学费).  三岁时被他所创立的Apple Computer 解雇了, 所以只好卷土重来.  之后他又罹患胰腺癌.  他的三个故事都有很深的意义.In Mr. Jobs’ words, “Stay hungry and stay foolish!” [Great adice! It’s moment like this makes me regret (a little) that I ever left Stanford].
